If you like cloaks, you'll LOVE this one! How about a full circle, generous hood (lined), stylized gold-toned hook - nice and WARM!!!
The fabric is a herringbone tweed in 100% wool that is a cobalt blue and a medium green that once combined somehow makes teal! It isn't neon bright or in-your-face, though. A lovely, warm color, and I've lined the hood with a 100% cotton twill in medium tan, and the neck seam is completely enclosed. No chafe! No rub! No irritation!!
The seams are all double-stitched for strength - serged, and then stitched flat. The selvedge was used whenever possible, as that is the strongest part of the fabric.
The cloak is a multi-gore full circle, and measures 57" in length from the neck. The bottom, serged edge measures a whopping 412" around!! I haven't hemmed it, just left the serged edge, waiting for a finished hem. The hood is a basic box hood, but oversized, and measures 23.5" tall and 28" in length.
This is a very heavy and warm cloak. It weighs just about 8 pounds! Please do not hesitate to email me for more photos. I have LOTS more, so if you want to see any different angles, or close ups, just drop me a line.
